Sóller and Puerto de Sóller are located in the "Golden Valley" on the west coast of Mallorca, named after the many lemon and orange groves in the area. Sóller is one of Mallorca's most popular villages, where people come to enjoy the quiet atmosphere and the magnificent mountain views – many people have fallen in love with the beautiful scenery and the green surroundings. Another popular thing to do while in Sóller is to take the old tram down to the neighbouring town and harbour, Puerto de Sóller.
Within the small bay you will find two small beaches and a marina with both small Mallorcan fishing boats and big luxury yachts. Despite the calm and relaxing vibe, there is a wide range of restaurants, cafés, small bars and shops, especially along the beach promenade. And thanks to its west-facing location you can enjoy some magical sunsets here.
In summertime, both Sóller and Puerto de Sóller become very active areas with a lot of tourists, which makes the contrast with the quiet winter really special.
If you find it gets too busy in the summer or too quiet in the winter, Palma is just a 30 minute drive away through the Sóller tunnel, or take a ride on the popular wooden train that takes you through the orange groves, all the way to Plaza España.
